"A Short poem on resilience and learning in the era of covid-19"

When at night time

The street lights

Begin to feel more like your sunshine

Let the luminescence fill your day

Trust me, that is okay

When the blue light of your screen

Over takes

What was supposed to make your smile gleam

And killing the time seems more right

The vacant seconds even divine

Until suddenly the seconds become the present

Not feeling so much like a gift

May you overcome this hurdle of time

Letting it be what pushes you past the finish line

But do not let these factors define

The hunger inside you

That should always guide you

Be resilient in your motions

Rising above commotion

And all of the notions that deprive you

Of being all you can be

The idea of believing in far more

Often seems more attainable than doing so

But in these moments of isolation

We have learned not to let the crashing of waves Feel like destruction

Rather than a way to move mountains

An opportunity of progression
